Zek the Branded, after defying the orders to attack a Ramm caravan and killing 3 other dragons he was marked with a brand that identifies him as a killer of its own kin, while many dragons on the present day don't know what the mark is many dragons that have seen the battlefield know the meaning of the mark, even so Zek chooses not to hide the mark for him the brand of the traitor its no symbol of shame for him its a reminder that that he did the right thing by not committing a massacre.

In the present day Zek does the best he can to atone for the mistakes the dragons did during the Dragon Wars, he took a vow never to enter a battlefield again but recent events in nova would force him to break that vow . . .

Zek: Yes this brand marks me as a traitor but I bear it without shame as this marks reminds me that that day even if I killed my own kin, I did the right thing
