I always find stuff at the bar I work at. Often T-shirts left by bands who were selling them or badges and buttons. Last night I found a red bandana still in a wrapper left upstairs. I asked around but it didn’t belong to anybody so I thought ‘what the hell’ and took it home. I’m a sucker for bandanas after all. I took the thing home and once I got back I found myself opening the wrapper. It was the softest material I had ever felt and I felt more sorry for the person who had lost it. Maybe they would be back later to reclaim it. But trying it on once wouldn’t hurt right?
The fabric felt even nicer as I moved it around my neck but as soon as I tied the knot it felt weird. I could feel energy coming from it like a weird warmth around my neck before it shot all through my body. It seemed to focus on areas like my ears which burned and my hands but the strongest feeling was on my back. I yelped as my height quickly dropped and I felt something growing. I looked over my shoulders and was sure I had fell asleep as soon as I walked into the room. I had a tail! A real fluffy tail!
The fur on it was spreading over my body now and my glasses fell to the floor as they couldn’t balance on my new vulpine ears and my nose pulled out into a muzzle but my eyesight didn’t turn blurry. My spine lurched and with a hard tug I fell onto all fours but it didn’t feel awkward at all. If anything this was more comfy. I took a few steps forward and walked out of my now way too large clothes and looked in my mirror. The bandanas glow faded softly and I looked at my new reflection. I moved my tail in a wag and grinned. Looks like I’ll be keeping this lost item for a while now~
