Familiar with that term? It's something that way too many people have been giving me, once they grow tired of my company or feel that I am unworthy of their attention. But let me tell you this - I can give a cold shoulder too, and that will be my exact reaction when I feel people are treating me unfairly. Do yourself a favor and never give me a reason to look at you with these cold eyes. I will be the first to admit that I am far from perfect, but when I commit some sort of mistake, I'll always take full responsibility for the trouble I cause. But trust me, I know when the punishment has gone too far or when I am being trodden down. I am no one's punching bag, no one's tool and most certainly not anybody's door mat! If you take my loyalty, generousity, affection and friendship for granted - then I'll leave your side to fend for yourself when hell breaks loose. You know there'll be a day where you'll regret not having me there to protect you.
