It's largely autobiographical, which might be cheating for the Prompt, but it was the first thing that came to mind after reading the Prompt and it's first few responses.

If autobiography is "cheating," it is my personal opinion you should "cheat" more often. Well written emotion and experience is a good thing in any case, thank you for sharing.

Simply marvelous... though sad....

on the personal level hun... what is to be; is to be. I have made many a bad turn in the road (and I'm quite along with my life) but I would not change a single wrong turn for all the tea in China. If I did... I would not be exactly where I am today - not married to the person i so truly love with the family we raised.

Yeah, I just turned at the end of January and I've made so may bad turns that I've lost count, some of my doing, some not. In fact, I often say that my biography would probably read like a John Grisham novel written by Hunter S. Thompson. "What a long strange trip it's been," but I'm fairly happy with where it's lead me. There are things I'd like to change, but other than this one none of them were mine to change.

I am really rusty. Once I'm all finished moving in here, I think I'll have to do an exercise.

*laughs and thinks about exercise... nope... to old and fat to give a hoot... heeheehee

Oh, I was thinking about doing my "Story-a-Day" exercise. Last time I did that I wrote Free Solo Dragon, The Dream Dreams the Dreamer, Look Before You Leopard, Centaur (which I haven't uploaded here since it's not done), Chain Reaction, 180 Meters, and Corruption. However, on further consideration, I'll probably just work on my book.

The only problem I have with Karma is that I'd like to know if I'm paying for bad Karma accrued in an earlier life or if I'm building up a Karmic credit :p

*chuckles... I associate karma with 'My Name is Earl'. I have many personal beliefs but karma is not one of them in the sense of things that I am shaping my life around it.

writing a book is a good thing... think about it - for practice and stuff you have the prompt once a week. that gives you the time to dedicate to your book.

Yeah, I've just been so busy lately with family and relocating and friends and social security and everything that I haven't had time to write. Even this little thing was done in some 20-30 minutes.

AND I have three galleries of stuff to sift through, though I'm almost done with Metassus'

My father tought me to do it today you might not have tomorrow.

I wish I could do that.

My mother tought me to think about it today you might not want to answer for it tomorrow.

Neither one of them got much done in their personal lives. My father had more fur my mother had fewer regrets.

I guess the trick is to find the ballence.

Sad. Dark. The end is quite blunt, but I see irony there, thus, I laugh. Well, I am a friend of black humor. Interesting little piece, I enjoyed reading this.
