I never thought I'd make a Changeling OC, but I guess that didn't stick for long. Anyway, I made Coal for my friend, he's super into Changelings and Queen Chrysalis. So Coal is currently between genders, of my own cannon about Changelings I figured maybe they start off life as generic black Swiss cheese and as they get older, depending on what gender they change into the most, would ultimately decide if they would be a Female or a Male when it came to their puberty time. So Coal is slowly becoming a mare. Also note Coal never wanted to be evil like the other's, forced to take part in the Canterlot take over, but after all where pushed out, she chose to fall into the Everfree instead of end up in the Badlands with the others. She lived off feeding off love from Animals until she found her pony lover, Grey. He accepts her as a Changeling and keeps her on the path to good.
