The pose is very good, as is the coloring/painting. I'm even appreciating the proper distribution of weight with the cushions and how they're sinking in or bunching up in spots. One thing I'm kind of seeing in a couple of the recent pics, and I'm not sure I can fully pinpoint it, but I think you're placing the eyes too far apart? I think. It's that, or the width of the snout that's throwing things off for me in alot of the pics. I might be talking out my ass (very likely), but I felt I ought to say something. It's not even necessarily a bad thing, but it's kind of knocking at my skull when I see it. What's funny is it does kind of give them a "foreign" look, which...oddly feels appropriate for a animal-human hybrid.
Thanks! I don't actually have many recent pics where that specifically could -be- a problem, Foxxel's commission being the only other one from an angle that shows both eyes, but I think I might know what it is regardless. I typically use photos of the animals to lay out and draw most of the head, so it's pret-ty darn close to actual size and shape, but then slapping more human eyes on them in place of the normal animal eye shape, and obviously our eyes weren't made for their heads, so the final result might look a bit strange, especially when I'm trying to render them (reasonably) realistically. We want to see human-shaped eyes a normal human width apart, but I'm placing them where the actual animals eyes would go.
