NICE to see you keeping up with the new years resolution you made to draw from life more. (Unless I'm confusing you with someone else- woops!)
Something about the reflective surface on the black object below the dog head looks SO nice and 'right'. Though I'm always curious with still life studies- which part of the painting are you most proud of?

You got it right, that was me. I have some simple plein air landscapes to post too. Nowhere near yours, such an inspiration you are!
Thanks for the feedback. I am fairly happy with the plastic dog's reflections too, and also the fact that the airplane doesn't look all wonky. I am proud that I at least tried to do the alla prima technique he used with huge wide flats, because that is something I'm so bad at. I am trying it on a new gouache painting now, much harder than oil!

The moment I saw this, I said to myself "I used to have a Fisher Price Bonhomme dog just like that!" =D I love soft lighting on this piece, and the light just seems to hit the edges just right on all of the objects, that when I saw this in my submissions section, I actually thought it was a photograph =D Very nicely done :)
