you did an amazingly detailed and accurate job on the cane, it looks fantastic. I really enjoy how your photos of your dolls show just how much time and care you put into things. It's neat and an art form all on it's own. Anyone who says differently is of a rather uneducated opinion.

I tried to be as accurate as I could with it, since I wanted it to be quite clear what kind of cane it was. I even measured to make sure the height was right for him. XD Thank you Jaycen!

It is a pleasure to be able to see your work. You make me want to get a BJD of my own someday. Considering that I normally stick with the tiny figurines that's saying something. Also, the puppies are adorable!

They aren't far off from being like figurines, these are just bigger and you are able to handle and play with them. =3 I love meh puppies, Iv had those ever since I was little.

True enough, though a well made BJD is rather expensive. Maybe I shall have to convert one of the models I plan to get into one :D

He is 60cm (around 25inches give or take)

blind? :O I just got in some BJD a few days ago ^^ furry ones from dearmine :3 the male one is a bit loose, is there a way i can tighten the bands?

Hm.. Im not sure how those ones are put together. But to fix most looseness problems in BJDs, you have to restring them.. meaning you need to tighten the stringing on the inside by adjusting where the knots are tied. Id suggest looking for a tutorial on how to do that.

I don't either. All I have is a silk cord with stiff ends so it slides through the holes. It really isn't that hard to restring them, although it also depends on the doll.

I did get his eyes in. They aren't technically blind eyes, since not all blind people have odd eyes. =3

*nods* I know but most "blind" dolls ive seen have milky eyes.

Im going for a more realistic look, since two of my dolls have "blind eyes" that are pupilless but can see fine.

You're very defensive about your doll photos. Have people really been that insulting about them? I don't tend to read all the comments under a picture so I haven't seen it.

Not lately. It used to happen a lot on some of my older pictures, most I have removed since some comments were quite nasty. So its just a matter of drawing a line to what people say.. I find it rude when people make rude comments on something they do not like. There are a lot of things that people post that I don't like, but I don't go and comment on them. Its matter of respect.

I always say, there's a difference between critique and criticism. Someone who says "this sucks, I don't like it" is just criticizing and such comments help no one. Someone who says, "looks good but you should try this other pose because it might make the photo more interesting" is giving a potentially helpful critique, far more respectful. You're totally right, if someone doesn't like it they don't have to look at it.

Exactly. I made a journal on the steps of proper critiquing, since there is no such thing as "constructive criticism", people who say that and use it as an excuse are just ignorant and using it to hide behind to be a jerk.
