...and a happy planet here
I've been trying to help a good friend
TragicMagic, an amazingly skilled, young artist. She has been wanting to find some good ways to learn to do landscapes. I've told her a few times I learned to draw nice landscapes from Bob Ross's oil painting techniques.... even though I learned with colored pencil (strange).
You can see the resemblance on this old macro drawing: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4855540/
For me it is easier to learn techniques and strategies on how to do something, even if it is in a completely different media (I also learn glows and metal for colored pencil from looking at digital paintings).
The whole reason for that story was I had Bob Ross on the brain and I had an idea for
VDO's Arcanine goddess Karin of painting "happy little planets" from the universal level. It pokes fun of Bob Ross's "happy little trees and bushes."
Come to think of it, I don't thing I have really done inserts like this before. Blame
Stampy for the concept.
Fun fact, I DO know how to paint in oil paints with Bob Ross technique. It is so easy, I am sure I could pick it up on the first try even though I have no painted in years. This was one of the last times I worked with oil and was my first time including something non-landscape: http://eclipsis.deviantart.com/art/.....dusks-92009474
