Another picture from a friend. When first created, moons (particularly crescent) were always used to represent Marina. Her guardian beast there is Luna (haaaa original!) who gains her power through the moon. Marina being a water manipulator or "weaver" as I liked to call it, is best when the tide comes in. Moon...water...works together in my head.
