So I recently finished reading a sci-fi novel called Triptych! It’s really, really good - but I would not recommend it if you have a hard time with CRIPPLING HEARTBREAK.

Now that that’s out of the way.

Of course I have to draw some stuff relating. Mostly very quick sketches of Kalp, since he’s not human and a total precious baby, but his Aglunates (spouses) Basil and Gwen are here too.

I took some notes from the book - I’ll have to skim over it a few more times to collect tidbits on physical attributes before I fill in the blanks. I have a feeling I’m going to be drawing these guys a lot to make up for… well. For things. u__u

Trying to piece together Kalp’s appearance is fun so far, and I look forward to continuing. I have ideas, but I need to figure out the designs before I can execute them to my liking.
