Dear Diary,
Ok, I'm not sure what's going on now. Down between what looks like a magma tank and some sort of mineral oil, I've found something. I don't know if it's science or magic, but it looks like some kind of... portal?
I managed to get a piece of wood off one of the robo-buddies and poked it through - came back fine. Right, well, in you go arm! God that was dumb, what if this was the waste disposal? Well, I guess it isn't. Feels odd, like having cold water swirly around me, but not unpleasant. I think I can see shapes in the mist beyond the door...
Now, I'm figuring this has to be here for a reason - you don't just stick an magic portal in a place for no reason! This goes somewhere. It might be good, it might be bad, but at least it's somewhere else to look for people, and given that I got my arm back I figure it can bring the rest of me back if I want to.
Here we go...
So sorry, couldn't find an excuse for nudity! I haz failed! D:

If you're enjoying this series, a slice of my Minecraft map is available for download at: http://foxwoodstudios.co.uk/minecra.....Whitewall4.zip You will need the Feed the Beast Ultimate modpack to make it work.
Very important: also in that zip file is a modified redpower.cfg file. This increases the number of frame blocks that can be moved, and is necessary to make the fancy bits of this map work (you'll see them next episode). It needs to go on your FTB install's minecraft\config\redpower folder, or you can just edit your own config and set linksize=2500. Without this edit, you'll be left wondering why nothing moves :)

Largely by ignoring the installation instructions and doing it my own way!
You need 3 mods, versioned for FTB/Minecraft 1.4.x, and put the files...
MoCreatures - into your mods folder
CustomSpawner - into your mods folder
GUI API - into your coremods folder
After that it should just start up and work :)
