This place is so freaking beautiful, I mean you never notice the detail they put into this game until you really look closely at that bottom central room with the stained glass windows, it looks so amazing.
And it really does make you wonder who they are worshipping here, I mean one would assume Dracula, but if they were worshipping him why are there no pictures or statues of him in here? I see statues of humans and demons, but no Dracula, makes you wonder huh?

When I got to play this beauty of a game after purchasing the remake on XBL (The original is unavailable here) I fell in love with its gameplay and art, acknowledging it as a milestone of Castlevania games. THis seriously beats any of the newer ones, especially regarding the masterful secret that is the second castle...the WHOLE map....anew...upside down.
To create such a masterpiece you need much more than just wits, therefore I say it's worth every penny and then some. Your Pixel art and your devotion to these pieces of fan-art and thus to the game it inspires.

Ahhh...I was cofused the, didn't pay attention at the title...and now that you mention it, I see the difference. However I DO spot some serious similarities between the cathedrals of both games.
Well, shows that while trying to make the game "new" for others, the developers still seem to keep dracula's castle close to a certain design in some areas.
