The series on ABC that replaced "Lost" when that show ended. FlashForward only lasted one season, however.
The quick and dirty: One day, there is an "event" that causes nearly everyone on Earth to be unconscious for 137 seconds, during which most people witness some sort of "flash" of the future. Since it was worldwide event, all anyone had to ask was, "What did you see?" And the recipient knew exactly what they were referring to.
That's kinda' how I took the question of "What did you turn into?"
