This afternoon, I watched a very interesting documentary about Mrs. Lotte Reiniger.
For the people who don't know her, she was a silhouette animator and worked with Jean Renoir.
She directed Die Abenteuer des Prinzen Achmed which is more or less considered as the first animation movie (1926).
She would have celebrated here 114th birthday last week...
PS: And, yes, I "borrowed"
chameleonice's characters Alex and Valerie.

Wowsers! This one took me completely by surprise O_o This looks so wicked and yet so awesome! I really love the style and how dark it looks while still remaining kind of cute ;) I'm also super flattered that you saw fit to borrow Alex and Val for this. They work for it better than I would have expected.
It's actually kind of funny to me too because I tend to pair up Alex and Val for reasons I don't fully understand... Maybe it's just the fact that he looks so cute when tickled and she looks so joyfully evil when tickling ;)

I can be a little bit unpredictable sometime...
I also like mixing despair and cuteness (I am a bit weird too).
Your characters are always quite cute, yet not at all insipid.
The opposition between the shy and innocent fox and the poisonous vixen is somehow inspiring.
Thank you very much for the watch and for the kind comment!

Its an artistic quirk.
The need to test new ideas and explore new concepts is half of what art is all about.
The other half is having the skills to portray these ideas in a meaningful and accurate way.
You have shown great strength in both fields and I will gladly tip my head to you sir.
