It's a very nice picture and I like the overall idea of a hybrid. And +20 sexy.

The shoulders seem a bit off to me; one tensed up and the other relaxed. Either that or they are too slanted, but it could just be me. You do have the right idea of arms being crossed, though.

I think with more definition in the pecs it'd be clearer that he's turned a little to the side, but you're right.

you know what you ought to do- take the image into photoshop, or the like, and flip it horizontally that'll help anything that is off stand out.

I just took your advice and the only problem I can see is with tonality. Some lines aren't visible hear simply because everything's still in pencil. I'll try fleshing it out darker, or going over it with pen and re-uploading it.

I actually like this image better at a smaller size. What that says to me is that the overall structures and mass are pretty good. The wrist tucked under the arm (His right) looks awkward, but that particular pose is extraordinarily difficult to pull off correctly, to the point where I generally avoid crossed arms wherever possible.

I think the easiest way to give this drawing more 'umph' would be to give it nice, solid, confident linework. Sometimes, a confident line looks better than a correct line. Food for thought.

Yeah, I was thinking of using chunky lines again. And like a plaid background, seriously. If I ever get around to inking//working on this thing. Too many painting assignments, yo.

-HM- Very impressive work! The only thing that stands out to me as being odd is the size of his head, perhaps being too small. Now, if you erase everyhting in the head and draw a person's face in it instead, I think it would look about right, perhaps with an over larged chin heh heh. But I think you need to make the nose a bit bigger?? Or maybe its just the angle. Great stuff!

Yeah, I tried a larger facial structure, but he looked far too topheavy. You're right though, he does have a tiny little head.
