I have the right to comment if I want to comment. Just because I choose to write over draw doesn't mean I don't know how to judge drawings. I have taken several art and art appreciation courses, so I do know a thing or two about how art is suppose to look.
Maybe you should actually do something good for artists and tell them what they did wrong so they can improve, rather than be a sycophant and tell them they're perfect when they're not!
Kuya! Don't let this guy get to you, man. You're not perfect, and you have plenty of room for improvement!

My point is not to say that his art is perfect, because it's certainly not. He's a good artist. And I apologize for mis-judging your artistic ability. Bare in mind, I hold nothing against those who choose to write over draw. Writing is certainly a difficult to master art form and if you do it well you should be proud.
Anyway, don't take what I said the wrong way. My bad.

Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. (Matthew 7:5)
Unfortunately for you, it does not seem to give insight to wood beams the size of mississippi wedged up your ass. Because of this, it would appear that we are at an impasse regarding your personality.
I would also like to give you criticism over the truckload of fail that your writing has become. For instance, there is a huge difference between being a conversational douchebag and giving constructive criticism. The latter relies on a hard earned skill called "Diplomacy." Assuming you may actually know what that word means, it would mean about a world of difference in how you come off ranging between what you are and actually someone who is polite. To top it off, being diplomatic does not mean you're being soft, just that you know how to explain and even re-affirm your point AND have the target in question actually accept the criticism in a positive manner.
P.S. I'm not that religious, I'm just following your lead.

Mississippi? I love that place!
I was down there doing Civil War reenactments when Hurricane Katrina showed up to destroyed the place. Do you know how freaking fun it is to get stuck in a hurricane storm when you're dressed in old timey wool clothing and uniforms that absorb water like a tampon? Freaking fun. That's how much freaking fun it is.
Fortunately for the rest of the United States, I jumped into action with my sword and pistol and had an epic duel with Katrina, and slew the beast before it had a chance to ruin anymore homes and livelihoods. I just wish I was in New Orleans to stop it...but oh well.
P.S. It was EPIC

Back in my day son.. I used to walk 16 ft in 9 mile deep snow to get a cup of sugar...
Not to mention I used to fend off my ranch from invading armies with my wooden leg. Those were the days *whistles* I ended up losing that leg in a fire to keep myself warm during the freezing period when dinosaurs existed.

I like your choice of colouring/tones for this one, and despite all the weird flaming going on up-top the picture itself is pretty good If I may, it would appear you've gone down a simplistic route, using lower levels of detail and mixing it with a nice contrasting set of colours. It's nice Sometimes the most impressive pictures actually have the least details - they just have certain aspects which compensate greatly
The only thing I can really say negativity towards is the harp. Something about it seems a little... off. I think that it's either the way it's hanging from the shoulder or the amount of colouring/shading. It's not a major thing, I'm just being a bit picky
Also, what did you draw/colour this in? I'm curious I'm inclined to thing Photoshop or PSP but then my brain makes me go "noooooo n00b, something else!" so I thought I'd ask

No thank-you for your honesty, it's much appreciated, it's pretty hard to come by opinions other than just knowing that they think "it's nice" In all honestly I put a lot of effort into the background, but fizzled out at the end. So yeah, thats probably why it seems off to you.
I do pretty much all of my work in Macromedia Flash MX 2004, but for special effects or other touch ups that may be needed I use Photoshop 7

AHhh, I need to think about looking at flash at some point... but modern technology scares me I still prefer the good old fashioned pencil and Tria marker technique... even if I do suck at finishing a pic and scanning it (I don't have the patience to calibrate my scanner THAT much...)
My old housemate, another furry artist, said CG work was "cheating". Not sure what he's talking about, as it's all artwork. Mind you he had a tendency to chat shit My only real negativity towards anything digital is that I can't get it right myself *pout*
Keep at the good work dude! :) You seem to recognise where you possibly stumbled. Take more time on the next piece and if you feel exhausted just drop it where you want and pick it up again the next day or after watching tv/snacking or something If you want to do something really complex and don't want to forget just get a notepad and write down your ideas so you can look back and go "ah! that's where I'm going to go with this next..."
Best of luck! *hugs n stuff*
