Seriously, I've lost count of how many times I've drawn and redone this overdue commission. :( I hope this is the last time, so I can finally finish it.
I'm picking good vibes about this version, which I'm doing in an attempt to diversify my style. Hopefully this will be it -- final version will be more detailed however.
To be scrapped later on...

The head looks a bit wonky, but then again I can see that if most the head is going to be hidden beneath that Egyptian-styled hood, then It won't really matter. It looks pretty good actually. Great job on the right leg too. There's one thing I've noticed though that's stuck out in a lot of your drawings is that objects held seem to be held a bit... stiffly. Can't complain, I tend to do the same, makes my objects look flat, and makes yours look like an action figure holding something.
Without seeing the other ones you've redone, I can't give a good 'looks better', but from this one, looks pretty well made :D

I think my problem is that I focus too much on the hands, like using the actual hand itself, and maybe I'll hold it in the correct position, but then, the object ends up looking flat, as I've said before :<
Course your also working with non-human hands a bit more-so then I am. But if you don't mind I wouldn't mind offering some pointers I taught myself... which is rather simple I think ^^;;
Like, this one for example. If you would bring the pointer finger (the top one) closer so that the edge of the staff is in the 'crook' of that finger, that would be one way. Course if the staff bottom was more to the left (away from the body) then you'd have it perfect, since it would be resting in the crook of the thumb. As is, looks kinda like it's floating against his hand if you know what I mean. (Not saying you should redo it, just offering a bit of help ^^;)
