hehe, well I've abandoned that particular game, i've gotten a little better at using the program since then and am trying to work on improving my skills before i take on a project with a long story. i'm definitely still working on making games with the program though.
and rpg maker comes with pre-made sprites so that it is very beginner friendly, i don't know the first thing about writing script/code in any language and i can make playable games with some minor animation

I went to my school's first game dev club meeting last week- there's some pretty cool programs out there.

Hey, do you watch Extra Credits on youtube at all? They've got some really awesome game-related stuff. Looks like you're on the right track though, just keep making stuff!

i actually have not heard of extra credits, i just found rpg maker vc ace when i was looking into game makers that do not require coding/scripting to work. rpg maker takes a few tries to get the hang of how it works but once you do i've found it to be the least buggy no-coding game making software, FpsCreator is pretty beginner friendly for making doom/quake like games but it has a lot of bugs if you don't write your own code for some of the events, enemies love to spawn in the wrong spot or run out of the level through the walls/floor or sink into the floor and bounce at you
