the scalework is really awesome :) how did you pull it off?

aren�t the scales just a transparent layer? White and black with a color burn to make them take on the color of whatever you like? Then just warp the transparent layer and there you have it scales. I think I might be half right... the scale work is remarkable

You know Narse, looking through all of the older art. I've come to realize just how far you've come from your starting point. Impressive, to say the least. Not many people have developed that well through their art careers, but you're one of the few who I've seen tackle those challenges in such a way. The mark of a good artist isn't one who thinks that their works are perfect, but the one who realizes there's always a way to improve. And that sitting still, using the same style throughout the years doesn't exactly offer much room for change. Sure, I haven't known you as long, however you were one of the first artists I ran into. I might even say I'm proud of that evolution. Along with you, DNK and Athus were the ones that made me into a furry :P .

Here's to 8 years strong, and a fruitful many more to come!
