Ever since Serule took him under his wing, the intelligent, self-reserved Nash has devoted all of his time towards the completion of a large, unusual machine that he calls the "DEMI Device". Occupying a large part of the apartment space near the top of Hammerspace Tower, Blupolis, the machine is seemingly able to create a visual representation of the digital world, Cyberspace.

Despite the others' growing concerns about the device, Serule, intrigued by what the DEMI'D can do as well as its creator's intelligence, has continued to cover and support Nash. Having already finished the Visualization capabilities of the DEMI, Nash continues to work toward perfecting the Virtualization and Materialization abilities of the machine.

Although the machine's high location ensures a strong connection to Cyberspace, Nash acknowledges that it isn't exactly the best place to keep the DEMI hidden. Though Blupolis is the most rapidly-expanding high-tech metropolis in the country, it also imposes some of the toughest, most stringent restrictions. Blupolis' authorities would not take kindly to the cybertinkering abilities of the DEMI.

With the others covering for him, Nash hopes to quickly finish work on the DEMI and unlock the powerful new technology that would come from it.
