Yeah MSEX4's color handling is a bit primitive. Supposedly 5 is similar to SAI. But yeah most coloring is done in Photoshop.

Indeed. Too primitive for coloring, MS4.I cant even find Layer Modes. It's like Ms Paint all over lol... Not to mention there's something weird with the paint bucket. Sometimes I do flat colors in Manga Studio when I'm too lazy...

I do look forward to MS5EX. Its painting tool looks more sophisticated, and the 3d model is simply amazing. Now if I could actually bust my wallet to buy that one... SAI is great, would love to dip in it again sometime...

Well, isn't the upgrade from MS5 to 5 only $50.00? It's like $127.00 to buy from scratch, I think or it was. still a bargain for what it does.

Interesting, do you have any advice on how to make a sandstorm like that? I was attempting one for the western webcomic i have but i can't seem to be able to make it look like what it is supposed to be. ^^U

well, on a new layer use Lasso tool with anti alias and a little feathering to create the cloud areas, and then use soft brush and brush it several times with low opacity, since I think sands are uneven in density... and then use smudge tool on some parts. I think it'll look better if you give a little noise filter. I just thought about that now lol...

Haha, it is so easy. I have a tendency to over think how to do stuff and end up all complicated in my head. XD
