Haha I haven't gotten attacked by bees yet! A couple people I know did. The bandage is actually an accessory you can buy.

I got attacked by bees my first night. I shouted "I'M LIVING IN A TENT AND I JUST GOT STUNG BY A BEE AND MY EYE SWELLED SHUT! THIS GAME IS BRUTAL!"

And then my husband tweeted that to the world. XD

I get attacked by bees five times a day. It's a risk I'm willing to take to try to capture and sell them. (The first one went to a museum, of course.) So far I've managed to catch... two or three, I bee-lieve.

I forget exactly, I think it's either 2400 or 2500 bells if you sell it at Re-Tail instead of the Nook store.

Honestly, I'm surprised it turned out so cute! Like, the game is cute, but it's hard to translate otherwise, so I thought it'd look silly but nop, looks great. I wish they had better hairstyles in the game though. The guy ones look ok, but the girls seem kinda eh. There's not any long styles either :<

I made like, one custom one, but it's only a t-shirt with a design, I dunno how to make actual cool clothes. Buying them is easier sometimes haha But there's either not much cool stuff, or I haven't seen them yet, which is likely. LOVE this shirt though. I have it paired with military pants (dark green khaki) and red high boots. It's cute and punky. I'm just eh on the hair a bit haha

Yup, I know! I first started out fishing, but with the island, I make much more with bugs, especially at night, that's when the high price ones come out. But I always keep a look out for sharks.

I started out with bugs and JUST got my rod 4 days later. -.-'

And I agree on that. Caught quite a few whale sharks already.

I really want to catch a whale shark! I've gotten saw shark, shark and sun fish. Are the whale sharks worth a lot?

The guide says the are selling (to you) worth of 58,000, but buying (them) I think maybe 10 or a little more. :/

All I know from years of AC is Red Snappers are 3 grand.

O_o The best I've been able to do is around 20-30k a day from the money rock, seashells, bugs, and fish... but I'm hoarding gemstones and the island is set to unlock tomorrow if Tortimer told me true on the docks this morning.

It is. They give you all the base stuff and you can get bugs from there. BUT.....its gonna cost you a grand per trip.

Just 1000 bells? Even after all the regular stuff is done I can usually still scrape together that much from a few minutes' farming of fish, bugs, and seashells.

Yup. Worth it cause during these months you'll net tons of cash to get your house to easy upgrades in just a couple of days. And btw, things really kick off after day ten when the nook store upgrades.

My first island trip didn't net me tons, more like around 15k, I wasn't counting too accurately... BUT that was largely due to a) getting a feel for the whole island thing, I took back way more shells than I needed, b) slots taken up by fruits I'm going to replant and one of each new sea creature/insect going towards the museum, and c) felt rushed because my battery started running low on the bus home :(

And I hope the nook store sells me a slingshot soon! That and the axe have never shown up in the store yet--I don't feel the need to chop down trees at the moment, but every time a balloon wafts by with a package underneath, and me without a means to get at it, I cry a little inside.

BWAHHHHH I just read about something I skipped over this first day: the Tour minigames!! T_T Well tomorrow's Saturday so I'll have a lot more time for that then. And the bug hunt!
