My half of a trade with  heinrichdarkhound They asked me to make a figurine of a Fjord horse with a mask like on one of the carousel horses I made. This is the result. A Fjord horse's coat is a really interesting combination of colors. I hope I did it justice. I started off with a white fabric for the horse's coat and then used a combination of Sharpie, another brand of permanent marker (for the rare color that Sharpie doesn't make) and rubbing alcohol to blend the markers to get the coat coloration. The mane and tail were done the same way, starting with white faux fur and coloring it with permanent marker and using rubbing alcohol to smooth out the coloration.

The figure is wire core with fabric skin colored with permanent marker. The mane and tail is faux fur colored with permanent marker. The mask is bead weave on wire. The hooves are paper coated in super glue.
