Well, I'm pretty sure he was reffered to as a "he"(or maybe it was just "it") by some of the characters in the game, and everyone I've ever seen talk about him/draw pics of him has called him a he.

Not surprised people would get confused though, if they've never heard of him before...the pink colors can really throw you off XD I thought he was a girl when I first saw him too.
