*Scratching her head Carmen looks down at the apron.*
'Hm...from what I can remember from physics lessons in school it depends on what kind of radiation...but anyways, doesn't your suit already block most of it?' :o

Yeah it does, you're right. But I just want to be safe, as I don't want to harm your pride and joy in any way at all, I'd never live with myself! o.o;

*she looks slightly nervous and panicky at the thought*

'Pride and joy?'
*Confused she raises her eyebrows while her hand subconsciously moves over her belly. Then a suspicion arises in the fennec's mind.* O.o
'Wait, so you know about...did shi tell you...growl...just you wait until I get my hands on that dragon! I'm going to...growl...and then I'll...roar...and...snarl...'
*At this point her words fade into a incomprehensible mix of roars and growls underlined by rather unpleasant looking hand gestures.*^^

Oh, no she didn't o.o don't worry, I can tell hun. Residue from the Radiation I have gives me sight powers like x rays. If I squint I can see it inside you, like the little embryo downstairs. I spotted it whilst I was looking over your apron ^^;

'Oh...err...'
*Smiling apologetically Carmen clears her throat.*
'...I guess I jumped the gun a little bit...please don't tell Allie...'
*With a resigned sigh she sits down and sniffs.*
'...sniff...shi kept my secret and hir promise and I suspect hir at the first occasion...sob...' -.-

*she looks apologetically at her and gives her a hug* Aww, you have a lot running through your mind.

I won't tell Allie ^.^ *she makes the zipping her mouth shut gesture smiling*

'Thank you.'
*Leaning into the hug the fennec calms down again and hesitantly kisses Lola on the cheek followed by a giggle.*
'Hihi...that tasted rubbery...' ^.^
*Letting go of Lola surprised Carmen wipes her eyes with the back of her paw.*
'Oh dear...have I just been crying? Sorry...those nasty hormones are really messing with my emotions these days.'

Aww, don't worry sweetheart, I understand ^.^; though I've never, and probably never will be able to get pregnant

*she gently nudges her rubber lips against her cheek and giggles*

I'd love to see the little guy or girl after they come out of there

*she playfully gives Carmen's belly a playful poke*

*Carmen giggles happily at the soft touch on her belly when the gravity of Lola's words finally hit her.*
'Wait...never? Oh my god, I am so sorry for being so insensitive.' O.O
*Silently she gets up and hugs Lola tightly for quite a long time. When she finally lets go the lead apron slips a little aside giving the kangaroo a clear view of the belly. And right there side by side, so close together they seem like only one at a first glance, lie two separate embryos.
Completely unaware of what Lola has seen Carmen straightens the apron and takes the kangaroo's hands in her own.*
'You know what? You can be the first one to see him or her if you like to.' :)

I...I can?.. o.o
*Lola was speechless for a while*

*Putting on a thoughtful expression Carmen considers her other choices for emotional support when in labor: a sister she's currently not on speaking terms with, her sister's best friend who would actually be a nurse but can't be trusted due to her relationship with Luna and the guy who got her knocked up in the first place with his dazzling knowledge of birth control: 'huh?'. Then there are of course the scary hungry cousin and her mysterious sister, a few other acquaintances (including various mythological creatures) and Pyrdacor who's frankly still too young to understand what's going on.*
'Well, I was going to ask Allie but I am sure you could talk to her...only one thing, though: are you absolutely sure there's no danger of any radiation?'

*she looked completely over the moon and shook her head rather quickly*
No, there's no danger if I'm in my suit, and I'll wear extra radiation protection as well on the day just to be doubly sure!
*she gave Carmen a tight hug and looked as it she could cry with joy*
