Soundtrack (hip hop edition)

This was inspired by a discussion a while back between me and a friend from Brazil. I was fairly sure that south america did not count under the definition of "third world country", because it's a term that generally invokes the poorer parts of Africa and Asia.

Turns out I was wrong, it's actually a leftover from cold-war terminology, the "First world" was the countries with capitalist economies, Europe, North America, Australia, south africa, and others, the "second world" was the communist bloc and the old soviet countries. And the "third world".... is the rest, basically.

I guess the problem i have with the term is that it puts one stereotype on a big chunk of the world that includes a diverse array of very different cultures and political situations.
