This class of ship is a research vessel meant to travel to foreign planets and research them from a distance. The sheer size of this monster is so vast it can be seen while in orbit as if it were a dark moon. When the Basimon rose it from the depths of Dyruus's oceans the waters fell a centimeter... on a global scale. The ship is massive because of the sheer amount of of storage and research equipment held within its walls. The ship was in production for such a long while that only the lower half had been completed, but not assembled, when he died from old age. The ship is capable of warp using an Advanced SS Engine. The ship has no landing capabilities as it is meant for pure spacial travel. The membrane underneath that is similar in fashion to a fin is where the water power source is held. After fitting all availible space with databases, computers, research equipment, labratories, living quarters, engines, and everything else... the engineers released they had left out one extremely important aspect... fuel tank. Using living biological materials, they formed the fuel "cell" which act as the fuel tank.
The bridge is contained in the lower area of the ship. With such a massive ship, it requires almost 4 Navigators working in unison to control all aspects of the ships propulsion and jump drives. Even though the Basimon are completely nuetrel when it comes to conflict, this is one of the few ships that were built with offensive mechanics. Two large plasma conduits are fitted above the Bridge Platform that are capable of emitting twin beams to eliminate threats. The membranes adorning the top of the ship are to protect the hull from damage. Although these physical measures are taken to protect this asset, its main and very effecient defensive system is its SlipStream Bubble. Using the same technology that helps it travel when in an atmosphere, or while in warp, helps to keep the ship from being harmed in almost every way. The bubble repels all projectile weaponry like a teflon coating. Energy weaponry is absorbed into the bubble only to strengthen it. It is virtually impervious to all attack. If the Basimon were war-fairing people, they could rule the galaxy with this technology, and despite efforts, no other civilization can master it, nor even come close to the Basimon's efficiency.
The small ship shown below is the ship's refueling method. The travel to the surface of a planet and take some of the water and return back to the ship. Though only as large as a school bus, these craft can carry quite the load, not to mention that the massive vessel has near 500 of them at its disposal.
