attached a tripod turned the flash off and set the camera to 'burst mode' which takes 3 successive pictures... then copy/pasted each image on top of one another in the gimp using 'additive' layering to make it brighter (why not the same image over and over rather than 3 different onces? cos the noise pattern is different for each image) then for the image posted here i ran it through gimps noise filter since there were random red spots in it that i didnt know what were...
...and yes the image was taken at 640x480 (easier to manage)... methinks next time ill take it at a higer res then size it down to try to get rid of the noise rather than use the gimp to filter it... but it gets pretty cold out there at night so itll be a while before i attempt this again (was 32F when i took this one... suffice it to say after the 3 beeps i grabbed the camera and ran back inside)
any shutterbugs out there have any input for me on this one?
PS yes thats the moon... it over-exposed in each shot so its not a side effect of the addive layering...
