Oh man that reminds me I used to have one I bought when my middle school got rid of the old ones. I loved that desk, but I guess it got left behind when I moved years ago.

I always held the impression that they... appear. Like, when you build a classroom, over the next night they rise from the void, already covered in pre-chewed gum.

The desks shrank as I got older, from the ones that seemed big and huge in elementary school, to now these tiny things attached to the seats in the college lecture halls.
We went backward in technology too, from whiteboards to blackboards.

I always draw elementary school desks. Those tiny half-planks you get in college are just useless.

Hope things work out for the best, Spix... I think it's both criminal and awesome that even your expressions of troubled feelings or frustration still come out beautiful in their own right.

I'd comment that my most focal memories of school desks are not PG... but truthfully, -those- memories, even if they started at a small desk, almost always moved somewhere more stable before long, hehe.
