It's been a while since I have posted a picture of Breanne, especially one that was not part of that sequence. So I decided it was time to give her another shot.
In further attempt to improve my coloring skills I tried doing some radical changes in my approach.
First, I redesigned the character's features slightly since it had been so long, then I decided to ink the sketch in Photoshop using colored lines. I figured this would make the lines blend in and complement the color palette a bit more. After that I cell shaded the picture then used that version as a basis to try a more painted look.
I know I have a ways to go, but I do hope that you all like it though.

Well, after sketching the picture, I moved it to Photoshop to ink it. However, instead of using black lines to ink it, I took the main colors of her color palette and made them both darker and cooler, then used those colors to make the lines around the appropriate parts, such as the blue lines around the jacket the brown around her fur and so forth. However since then I have tried instead to ink the entire picture with black and then lock the pixels, so that I can only work over what I have already made, and then "colored" the lines that way.
