My charisma sets me high among my peers
I get all the sheeple's respect and secondhand fear
When I don't lead, there is no pack
When I bow, the kings bow back.

But in my pursuits there is no joy
Am I a child, the world a broken toy?
I have such dear friends and lovers
If true love conquers all, why is there a void?

I'm tired of the seventh-story view by the throne
Disillusioned with this life I've known
