As someone that has been in real combat suffering from concussions I have to say I'm impressed on how this was picketed.... But I do say if he's trying to keep going he would try and keep his adrenaline still pumping because if he doesn't he can pass out or worse until he can get to a safe place....

I've been there. It sucks, but the thoughts that go through your head are interesting. Nothing feels strange or odd about thinking 'That man is still on fire, but he's not dead yet'. Logic is all you have, no emotion, no fear. Just a rather faulty rationality.
