This is just something silly that arose from office talk; a couple of co-workers were talking about how one tends to mince words while the other misses the most apparent things. They jokingly referred to themselves as "Blunt" and "Obvious" - I just kinda took the idea and ran with it, giving them panda personas. Keep an eye out; you may see more of these guys in the future.
