Three inspirations for this. First was  lunarthesnowleopard's [The Epic Savior]. I was really moved by it ^_^

The second was I had read that a guy is more likely to fall in love with a girl if she shows her vulnerable side more often. It triggers his basic need to protect his mate, and makes him want to stay with her all that more.

The third was my ex-mate's husband has been treating her and their son poorly, and I felt bad for not being there as her support. I had always been there, and I feel like I always should be.
