All of these are reasonable expectations Sis. I've been requiring payment upfront for some time. To avoid long waits, I haven't been filling more than 5-10 slots at a time, then I can finish those and open up for more. I'm trying to make it where no buyer has to wait more than a month for commissions. I know I used to be pretty bad for delays, so I'm trying to improve.

like if I ever commission you, can I offer to pay up front, like would that be an issue with you? I for one prefer to do that so it's not wighing in the back of my mind as something I need to do later rather than in the now.

I think you should take at least some money up front for all your work, like a deposit or such that is non refundable. That way it wont sting so hard when the commissioner cancels or other nasty things happen.

I have a question Ma'am, its probably gonna sound stupid. You see, I did my first commission that I payed for. I mailed the artist with a nice birthday card with the money. I was wondering of I could do that for you? Cause I don't trust PayPal and well, I feel safer mailing the money to you. Of that is an issue then I am sorry for bothering you with my dumb question.
