Life happens. Starting a new chapter can leave your previous chapter feeling empty. Just don't give up altogether.

Oh, gawd, man, you need to collab with a writer for a graphic novel or something. Your style just BEGS for it.

finishing school can be jarring in ways you don't even realize or expect. for what it's worth, this little drawing is solid.

I can attest to this as well. The months after finishing graduate school (and giving up on a PhD for good) took a serious toll on me emotionally. I lost interest in a lot of things I had hitherto found seminal in my life (one of them being theory-the same thing that I was in grad school for!) Give it a while and don't feel bad about where things lead you. If you need to take a break from art, do so, just remember to check back every once in a while to see if that creative zest is back. I wish you the very best.

It's almost funny how many artists similarly get disinterested in their own work from time to time. Sometimes, a good kick in the pants and some direction -or focus- can work wonders for your "artistic work ethic" (best way I can phrase that). I also wanted to add that I love your brush strokes. Your drawings have this "character" to them that I've been digging.

Don't worry about it, you'll be fine. Keep notes on everything for later. When the pain of not making stuff is greater than the pain of no inspiration, you'll get back into it :)

Find other artists locally to connect with, other people in your face making stuff is inspiring.
