Here is the living room in my new house... finally all set up and put together... well... it has been together for a while... but this should be the final incarnation for a while, less more vinyl shows up, and i'm already keeping vinyl in two different locations in the house.
I think, all combined, this took... 5-8 hours to put together, not accounting for the time it took me to sort through all of the vinyl.

Those are the speakers :)
They are Martin-Logans; which are electrostatic... the plastic part that is see-through is the mid and treble drivers on those speakers. It works by distorting the metal grill on the front and rear of the speaker which distorts the plastic and moves the air creating music.
The bigger panels are Magnepans, which work on a similar principal, but they use metal wire glued to plastic, that is oscillated by magnets creating the sound. The magnepans have better bass extension than the Martin-Logans, but not by much... hence why there is a sub in the corner.

Must sound sweet. I heard a few pairs of them with different mono block amps. I think the best I heard were a pair of Audio Research tube mono locks running 300 watts a piece with a beautiful Audio Research tube pre-amp. Played a recording of Beethoven on a VPI TNT turntable. I felt like I was at the recording session in the room with the orchestra.
