Quickie to get this out of my system. What I imagine a Kelpie being. uvu Croc/gator-horse... It can tighten its mouth to look far more innocent, but it has gator eyes. Mane is a camouflaged evolved scale set that looks like kelp (hence the name kelpie) A long slender body with long limbs but croc eyes, feet, and tail. It can look quite magestic standing partway in the water-- most of the time it uses its powerful tail to do the classic croc surprise attack, you typically only see its head before it attacks.
