Lucy's normally such a friendly, bubbly gal. Shark week seems especially rough on her (BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!)

I think you will find the Primarch in Legion to be more than interesting. Some very surprising twists there.
After you have finished The Flight of the Eisenstein, Fulgrim and Battle For The Abyss, you should check out the Audio Dramas Oath of Moment and Legion of One. I will not tell you why, just that you can enjoy them.
There is no rush in reading the two Dark Angels books. They are way too slow at first (like 200 pages before the main character even becomes a Space Marine).

I look forward to every bit of amazingly well thought out and juicy lore I can get my hands on. I just discovered my Space Wolf army is 2245 points with my rune priests beefed up.
Rune Priests and Wolf Guard are expensive. @__@
I want to read all the books. I haven't read on yet that I didn't find interesting.

Heh, I live in the States thankfully. Hopefully shipping here won't be too bad. Though I just finished The Flight of the Eisenstein a couple hours ago (I didn't sleep much). Gotta say, Rogal Dorn was a pretty enormous douche to poor Garro. But I'm glad Euphrati Keeler was able to stay his hand and convince him of Garro's sincerity.
So. Much. Lore. And. Backstory. HRRK.

I suppose, but still he was a giant douche about it. XD
Also I cannot WAIT to see how Keeler's role in all this plays out. She STOPPED A PRIMARCH from killing someone. She's not a First Captain, Sergeant, Line Astartes, Commander-Governor of the army, officer of the army, or an enlisted man. She's a civilian. And she barged into Dorn's office and -stopped- him from killing Garro! That's insane! I LOVED IT! XD

YES! Other than the first three books of the Heresy, Horus Rising, False Gods, and Galaxy in Flames, this book stands alone in awesome-ness. So great were its accolades that I had to use a non-word like awesome-ness to describe it! XD
Next up, Fulgrim! Who I'm sure, like Rogal Dorn, is probably a giant ass too.

The Iron Warriors were actually good. The Imperial Fists were just MASSIVE dicks to them, and Rogal Dorn just kept on pushing Peturabo, and pushing him and pushing him, treating the Iron Warriors like they were worthless when the iron Warriors were the ones who did the hard work for the Imperial Fists. Eventually, the Iron Warriors said "fuck it" and joiend Horus -just- to get back at the Imperial Fists; Peturabo didn't become a Daemon Primarch until AFTER the Heresy, when the Iron Warriors nearly exterminated the Imperial Fists in the Iron Cage incident.
Hhm, I'm using the 40K wiki as reference, I don't see anything that would say that Horus or Erebus incited it, although it was Horus who informed Perturabo of the planet's rebellion and gave him approval to act as he saw fit. In his bitterness and outrage over the fact he was the only Primarch who couldn't control his home planet, he killed millions of Olympians. Only after they had burned the corpses of the dead did he realise what he had actually done. Horus also gave Perturabo Forgebreaker before he went to Olympia, the weapon may have had a corrupting influence on him.
Exactly. Horus KNEW of Perturabo's unhappiness with how things were going (especially the treatment of the Iron Warriors, basically being stuck on garrison duty when they weren't dying for the Imperial Fists' glory), and manipulated him into performing an act that he knew Perturabo would see as unforgivable. Of the traitor Primarchs, Perturabo's the one who had/has the right to be angry.
Nope; that's the Imperial Fists. Before the Heresy, the Iron Warriors and Imperial Fists worked together; the Iron Warriors would crack open hard enemy defenses (and suffer grievous casualties in the process), then the Imperial Fists would storm the fortification and destroy the enemy from the inside. The Imperial Fists got all the glory; the Iron Warriors didn't really care, but it went to the IF's heads and they began treating the IWs like complete and utter shit. So...yeah.

Abaddon isn't a Primarch, he was simply the First Captain but he has probably been given great powers by Chaos. Also several other Primarchs survived, Angron certainly as he recently (In 40k lore atleast) unleashed the First War of Armageddon in the year 474 of the 41th millenium. (474.M41)
Right, silly miscommunication on my part. I knew Abaddon wasn't a primarch but tossed him into that sentence anyway. He took over Horus's legion after his death at the hands of the Emperor. They became the Black Legion right? And Abaddon leads them without a Primarch, much like Logan Grimnar of the Space Wolves. Except nobody really knows if Leman Russ is dead or not, only that he's been missing for a long, long, long time.
And yet he lied to the Imperium ABOUT Chaos, left them in the dark about what they truly faced. If he hadn't, then people might've been able to fight it off better. :P
Also, I'd rather fight for a god that cheers my name and gifts me for my labors, rather than one who sits there in cold, contemptuous silence.

And Khorne is much better? Remember, he cares not from where the blood flows, just that it flows.
Mankind would never have been able to handle the truth about chaos, the fear and worries wouldve reached apocalyptic levels and capable of triggering daemonic infestations. Ignorance is bliss as they say, what you dont know about, you dont fear.

And yet that ignorance left so many vulnerable - including his own "children", the Primarchs. And you only look at one facet of Khorne, the side that the radicals emphasize; Khorne is about War, blood, and slaughter, but he is also about martial prowess, honor in battle, strength of will. Nurgle is rot, death, and decay, but also fertility and rebirth. All of the gods have more to them than what people think; they're forces of nature.

"You seek death and I would gladly rend and tear your soul! I would rip your
flesh screaming from your bones and garland this body with your entrails,
but your death is to be far worse than even one such as I could devise! Your
skull will be honoured with a place in one of the bone mountains within
sight of the Blood God!"

Kill Maim Burn,
Beat them 'till they learn!
As with the blood first spilled from Kain,
All of War is HIS domain!
Savageries in tides of gore,
Proclaim Victory for the God of War!
As the weak are slaughtered and heroes mourned,
WE WILL BURN ALL WORLDS IN THE NAME OF KHORNE!!
