Ahh I remember this item from AC: Wild World. Let's just say I did ALOT of backtracking, fruit selling, fishing, bug catching, etc. I know it's cheating, but I think I might have used an Action Replay as well to get a bunch of them back when I had one.

this is why you should make a ton of friends and stuff and then invest in turnips on sunday. that way, regardless of their price, you'll luck out sooner or later in someones town and make 10x the price of the crown

trust me, it is the fastest way to get rich. but first you need to invest a decent amount of your own money to start off. like try saving 300k-500k and spend them all on turnips

awwww that sucks. its really easy to make money in the game. once you get your resort island you'll rack up on selling the beetles there. i played last night from 730pm til the shop closed at 11pm and i made 1.2million bells starting from 0

If you set up your island right, you can make 1 mil a night.

There's also a more expensive item, the Regal Crown, which is 1.2 mil.

Will definitely have to keep an eye out for that crown, tho.

And how might one do that?

You cut down the trees on the grass, remove the bushes and flowers, remove the stumps, and cut out the south 4 palm strees so that the only foliage are the 8 palm trees.

At night you go to the island and keep on scaring away the goliath beetles on the tree, and the hermit crabs and wharf roaches on the ground. This will cause it to continue respawning bugs, which now have a very high chance of being beetles. It takes you about 25-40 minutes to catch 40 non goliath beetles. that will result in you getting 320-480k bells. If you have it set to Nite Owl ordinance, you can do this about 3-5 times in a night, and get upwards of 2 mil bells if you're lucky.

Clever. Does the island fix itself after some time?

It does not. However, you can collect fruit and flowers from the games, and purchase hibiscus starters and fix the island that way.
