As I understand it, part of it is to prove that these sort of abuses can happen. So he's playing the part of the villain.
That said, I do sorta like the changeling horde in the shape of a heart.
Kaz usually seems pretty cool, and it looks to me like he's offering to play the villain to you so you can ham it up a bit. Honestly, it sounds like it'd be sort of fun.
