Wrote this piece about two years ago. It's about life. At the time, I had a conversation related to the lack of moral values that's being seen in Puerto Rico, where I live, as well as the world.
I was analyzing "determinism" and "free-will" with in the ambit of philosophy, in the sense that, when a human being is in it's stage of youth, the stage in which that human is most vulnerable to change, were programmed with out ideals that will affect our future. Decisions are made for us, since we don't have the capacity to discern between right and wrong; so to say, how the way we were raised affects our outcome.
And I quote (from the conversation I had) "Once our lives are nigh finished, and we're decrepit... Will we be happy with the reflection we see in the mirror?" (Loosely translated.
