It was Friday, January 25, 2013. For the first time in years, I had been required to take the train out of town. I had just gotten back, and was sitting on the subway on my way home. I was bored out of my mind!
There was this little girl next to me. She couldn't hold still. The poor father seemed desparate. I started drawing and she immediately became entrhalled. Every stroke caused her to guess what I was doing. So, naturally, I changed my mind half-way several times just to keep her going. In the end I settled on a rabbit simply because I had drawn too much at this point to change it to something else. I added the carrot for emphasis, erased the eye (look closely, the original cute lapine eye is still there) and made him wince.
I was adding some finishing touches when the girl and her dad arrived at their stop.
"Come on, we have to get off"
"But I want to keep seeing the Mr. Bunny!"
"Come on your mother's waiting!" *drag drag drag*
"But daaaad!"
#2 pencil on copy paper. 7 minutes.
