I'm not very familiar with the background of the film.
I think Tron/Rinzler was the one with the "dotted suit" - later on, however, was to see how he switched back to "blue". (For a brief moment, as he sank into the ocean(?))
So I decided to make him look more like the other "blue suits" ^_^
