At some of the areas, it is, especially some of their restaurants and pubs, the pubs at some point having been speakeasies during the roaring twenties. Its pretty neat there, though, the Summer Awakening festival is really rather weird.

Spring Awakening(Why they call it that when its smack dab in the summer is beyond me) is like Chicago's version of Summerfest only smaller and not a lot of shop venders. Its also when people get to dress up like they're either going to a Rave or some sort of convention such as the strapless literal sunflower bra, furry leg warmers, Really short shorts (They were practically like speedoes), and all sorts of things one would probably see in a Japanese fashion magazine.

It is really neat and a lot of the music there is Dirty dubstep or some sort of techno music, the Highlighter of the even was apparently Skrillex for that year. We didn't even know what was going on, so you can imagine the reaction of folks were having XD
