This was done as a protest on how Brian Michael Bendis has been portraying Rocket Raccoon in the first 3 issues of the newly revived Guardians of the Galaxy comic books by Marvel Comics. Me and many fans didn't understand what was going through Rocket's head lately. Instead of being the nice guy heroic gun slinging raccoon that we all knew from both his creator Bill Mantlo and later from the Guardian's last comic from DnA, Rocket came out as a crazed psychopath. There may be hope that Rocket is already getting better after reading issue #4 of The Guardians of the Galaxy so I'm sticking with the comic for now.
This is a story to go with this drawing:
After it has been found out that Rocket Raccoon has totally lost his mind his friend, and former enemy, Blackjack O'Hare brought Rocket back to his home world, Halfworld, which is used to treat the mentally ill, and cure Rocket of Bendisitis! Both Blackjack, Lylla, and the rest of his friends want to bring Rocket back from his state of insanity. But I do have faith that he will recover!

At some point Bendis is going to stop writing GoTG and Rocket might finally end up in the hands of a decent writer.
The first three issues of the new GoTG book have been terrible, and Rocket's psycho behavior is only one of the many reasons.
Bendis can't write cosmic Marvel for shit.

Rocket Raccoon is a military hero but ever since the guardians of the galaxy he was always treating his enemies like shit and with his comrades he can be a tough guy to love with humans because he doesn't really respect other people he more likely demands your respect to him.
I actually liked the 2013 RR more than the 2008 version but that doesn't mean the 2008 version was bad oh god no not even close.
RR has only said "Blamo Murdered you" in one issue anyway also I do like witty dialogues when someone gets killed.
There is one thing which has been going on in both series of GOTG and is the constant change in drawing style, its also common in other comics but I hate it when RR my favourite hero gets drawn not only in just another art style but it looks like complete shit.

Hello, how hast thou been feeling about Rocket Raccoon and the nelittling his homeworld has been undergoing lately, 11 and so years after?
I recently found out his true upbringing in the 1980's comics and we turn out to be feeling the same sadness and anger about these great unjustified harmful, needless, and belittling tweakings that utterly shapeshift Rocket Raccoon into other characters. To me, anything since 2013 isn't Rocket Raccoon, whether it be in comics or in films.
The only official outlier nowadays is the comic "Li'l Rocket", a trothful set of 6 issues set in Halfworld's first version from 1985, in Lylla, Rocket Raccoon, Wal Russ, Blackjack O'Hare, Lord Dyvyne and Judson Jakes's childhood. It is available to be read online for free and in high image quality.
