This, is really close to me.
For a long time, I really had a whole bunch of issues with my Cocker Spaniel. He was pure-bred, sold to me for 24 dollars because he was a runt, and he's been with me for about...11 years now.
When I moved out from my parent's house and onto my own two feet to pursue my comedy career, Wally, my spaniel, came with me. He was always there when I had hard times, as well as there to just lift me up. Anyway, he started developing Glaucoma, and I had no money with which to pay for his medicine or any sort of treatment. I took care of him as best I could with a credit card and held him close for as long as I could. HE eventually lost eyesight in both eyes, but he lived on for two years after he had lost his sight.
A few days ago, Wally died. I was sitting with him and he lay down next to me, just kind of sniffing me. I stroked over his head and we ended up sleeping there like that. When I woke up, he didn't.
Wally, this one is for you. It's just something I had to put together and post, kind of to get it off my chest as well as with people who would probably understand the closeness with which a human can be drawn to a pet. Anyway, this is Rhystic, Out!
