It was my great pleasure to get to commission 
Nomax for this one. He continues to amaze me with the quality and speed of his work, and I think we're all just a little bit better off getting to see it. ^^
It's time to share more of Gale and Gloria! This time, we see them resting on a handy rock after a vigorous morning swim, and they appear to be sharing a bit of a moment.
We've seen in the past some snippets of the love lives of these two sisters, and how things can sometimes get a little complicated. Gale enjoys meeting new people, and is always happy to have a date or two with an interested suitor. If they hit it off, and she can get Gloria's approval of the fellow, Gale doesn't see the harm in having a bit of fun!
Gloria is generally supportive of her sister's flings, even if she does have to veto the odd admirer now and then, but her real affections go to just one person. Gloria, you see, is in love with Gale. They share the closest bond there is, they've always been there for one another, and there isn't anybody else in the world Gloria would rather be with. Out on the privacy of the water, she reminds her sister just how she feels with some soft words and a little kiss.
She doesn't mind if Gale finds a new boyfriend now and then to give her the things that Gloria can't. In the end, they'll always have eachother. <3
Nomax is really getting killer with his lighting work! I hardly even know what to say about work this awesome. It's certainly beyond my ability to critique, so I hope you'll all excuse me while I just gawk the piece.

Well, mostly personal taste causes it. :P Judging by the comments no one seems to think so. And I still think it's a great picture. I'm guessing oil-paint, or something like them? We don't see a lot of those.
But specifically... For me it's the way the skin folds, and the uneven 'cracked' look of the fins; and I was never a big fan of the latter to start with. I get less of a 'hot babe' vibe than I do 'exotic fish'. There's a scale between idealistic and realistic that all fantasy art falls into. Certain 'realistic' things are disliked by some people. I don't mind when artists give dogs and wolves fortune-cookies, but others regard it as brain bleach. As I say, personal taste.

Nah, i never meant it off putting or challanging if it might've come off as that. Just was curious if it maybe had something to do with a certain mistake i made or something like that. Though i thought that it would be something more in the direction of it being not as stylized as you might prefer it, and that's absolutely fine :) Also it's a digital work, never really worked with oils though i wish to do so sometime in the probably rather far future.

Oh my... Slither, I find each piece of Gale and Gloria more beautiful than the last. Not just in the artwork, but in the character portrayal and development.
They do seem a lot like my Rain and her bondmates. Albeit, Gale and Gloria can't physically separate like mine can; along with other differences, it makes their "bond" different to the one that Rain shares, and yet they are alike in that they care deeply for their sisters.
Hehe, Gloria you sweet girl. Gale should know how lucky she is to be paired with someone like you. And you certainly know how lucky you are to be paired with her <3

It does sound like a rather similar situation, despite the physical differences!
They're very much aware of how fortunate they are to have each other. It takes a lot of work to build up the trust and cooperation that it takes for a pair to be a successful and happy, and they've certainly invested it to great effect!

I sorta expected this from how that sand castle pic had that love-look... but dang, didn't know they were completely in love with each other! Ya made them even more unique there, Slither! :3
