Just a quickie head-shot of December. Because we all know she doesn't get drawn enough (not that anybody else does, but yeah), and I wanted a new icon. Don't get me wrong. Chibi December was cute. But the sweetness was giving me diabetes.
Now for stuff you may not care about:
December is BLIND! Okay, not completely. I blinded her blue eye. Why did I do that? Well, when I created December and decided on her color scheme, I saw pretty much nobody had a furry alter ego with two colored eyes. I'd see SOME, but they were rare. In fact, Kambian, a character of mine I've had since 1998/99 has two differently colored eyes, but anyway...
Recently it seems like having a character with two differently colored eyes is popular. I didn't want to seem like some kind of copycat, so I was wondering what the heck I could do to fix this. I didn't really wanna change December's eye color, SO... I decided to give her a REASON to have one eye that's mismatched! If you look closely, you can see her afflicted pupil, but otherwise it's not much there anymore.
Thus, she be blind in her blue eye! Ahahahhaa!!
Also, I tried a different inking style. What do y'all think?

Very lovely headshot. You know what interests me the most about December? Her color scheme because somewhere, every basic color is accounted for. You have green, orange, blue, red, yellow, purple, black and white. It makes for a rather pleasing image, and the color depth is very nice as well, good job. Blind in one eye, eh? Nothing wrong with that, my character Altria is blind in both eyes. =P
Well, I have a character who's blind in one eye...and the seeing eye is red...and she has green hair-

I'm always grumbling about people's lack of originality, but seriously, don't try too hard to be different if you were doing the trend before it was trendy. You're original and they're all just catching up!

Awww. She looks so cute. I just wanna' snuggle with her. Not litterally. She just looks that way. :D December is my favorite out of the lot. Not only is she the most unique among your characters, but she's also the prettiest. :D Me wants to see more of her. Heehee. Very nicely done, Rachel. *Hugs*
